Com a suspensão das aulas presenciais devido à pandemia do Coronavírus em março, 78 profissionais das vans escolares de São Leopoldo estão parados. Sem renda ou perspectiva de retorno ao trabalho. “Está muito difícil. Estamos cansados. Paramos no dia 15 de março e até agora não há previsão para o retorno ao trabalho. Alguns estão fazendo comida para vender, outros fazem Uber e teve gente que vendeu tudo e foi embora para Santa Catarina”, relata o presidente da Associação de Transporte Escolares de São Leopoldo (ATEL), João Sidnei Martins dos Santos, o Tio Nei, que há mais de 30 anos trabalha com vans escolares no município.
Tio Nei diz que a categoria não sabe mais o que fazer. Segundo ele, as dívidas estão se acumulando e muitas famílias passando dificuldade. “Infelizmente fomos os primeiros a parar, no dia 15 de março, e com certeza seremos os últimos a retornar. Precisamos que o governo municipal olhe para essa categoria. Estamos cansados, todos perdendo a paciência”, desabafa o motorista.
O presidente da ATEL, que participou do programa Berlinda News Entrevista ao lado do Pedro Henrique Corrêa, que também é motorista de Van, diz que os trabalhadores aguardam uma solução para a categoria. E citaram o municipio de Esteio que aprovou lei concedendo R$ 5 mil para cada um dos 25 motoristas de vans. “Aqui tivemos a insenção de três meses na conta de água e cestas básicas. Ajudou, mas ainda é muito pouco. Estamos desamparados”, comenta Tio Pedro. Mesmo sem transportar alunos, alguns pais seguem pagando as mensalidades. “Ficamos até constrangidos, quando um pai ou outro ligam pedindo para a gente cobrar. Não queremos isso, queremos trabalhar”, desabafa o presidente.
O QUE DIZ A PREFEITURA
A Prefeitura de São Leopoldo recebeu a solicitação das entidades que representam motoristas e auxiliares de vans do transporte escolar como recebe de todas as entidades. E como em todos os casos são feitas análises criteriosas avaliando as possibilidades legais e financeiras, sem deixar de dialogar, buscando atender aquilo que é possível de cada setor. Com esse em especial, cumpre destacar que atendendo parte das reivindicações foram incluídos no programa de segurança alimentar, dentro da Rede de Ação Solidária onde receberam os kits de alimentos e ainda por decreto do prefeito Ary Vanazzi a isenção da taxa de água por 3 meses. Outras demandas seguem sendo analisadas e discutidas pela gestão municipal.
