No Espaço Pré-Candidato desta quinta-feira, 10, o Berlinda News recebeu Fernando Menezes, pré-candidato a vereador de São Leopoldo pelo PT. Menezes que tem um extenso currículo na carreira política, acredita que é de grande importância dar autonomia a movimentos populares. “Minha vida política aqui em São Leopoldo começou na década de 90. Cheguei a coordenar a primeira campanha do prefeito Ary Vanazzi a Deputado Federal em 1993 e fui o vereador mais votado do PT no mandato de 1996 a 2000, em Santa Maria. Eu sempre fui uma pessoa dedicada. nunca precisei de nada para estudar. Acho que nosso grande desafio é buscar se informar. Eu acredito que o movimento popular tem que ter autonomia total. Se você não tiver uma sociedade organizada para construir as lutas, então porque existe?”, disse ele no estúdio do Berlinda que também ressaltou que é necessário “resgatar a democracia e o respeito às diferenças”.
